Chad A. Banghart serves as Executive Director of the Coolidge Reagan Foundation (CRF), where he oversees the Foundation’s day-to-day operations, strategic initiatives, development, communications, and organizational growth.
Banghart joined the Coolidge Reagan Foundation following his interim leadership of the New Tolerance Campaign (NTC), where he was appointed President in June 2025. As President, he directed NTC’s national efforts to expose institutional double standards and hold corporations, universities, advocacy organizations, and cultural institutions accountable to their stated principles of tolerance and fairness. He oversaw the organization’s strategy, partnerships, communications, activist engagement, and research initiatives.
In 2026, Banghart led NTC through a strategic acquisition by the Coolidge Reagan Foundation, helping preserve the organization’s work and position its signature initiatives for continued growth under the Foundation. Following the acquisition, the New Tolerance Campaign became a program of the Coolidge Reagan Foundation, allowing its research, advocacy, and accountability efforts — including the Hate Map, Hotline, Worst of the Woke Awards, and Champion of Tolerance recognition — to continue as part of a broader institutional platform.
Banghart is also the founder of The Banghart Organization dba CB Strategies and The Banghart Media Group, launched following the 2020 elections. CB Strategies began as a consulting firm serving grassroots organizations and political candidates, with an emphasis on targeted communications, digital fundraising, and campaign strategy. The firm later expanded its work to include online voter outreach, social media, public relations, and strategic communications for federal and statewide campaigns and nonprofit organizations.
He founded The Banghart Media Group after expanding his work into television news, podcasts, and new media. His media experience has included serving as an executive producer and media booker for national TV and podcast news programming, coordinating guests, developing content, securing advertisement deals, and helping shape programming for national audiences.
Previously, Banghart served as executive director of two national political action committees, where his work included overseeing multimillion-dollar grassroots fundraising programs, national advertising campaigns, political strategy, and support for federal candidates. Earlier in his career, he worked in corporate fundraising and development at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and served as deputy political director for the historic reelection campaign of Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker and Lt. Governor Karyn Polito.
Banghart also held roles at the Republican National Committee under Ronna McDaniel, working across executive operations, digital fundraising, donor experience, strategic sourcing, and presidential transition efforts. A lifelong Michigander, he began his political career in Michigan state government, including service in Governor Rick Snyder’s administration during the height of the Flint water crisis.
Banghart earned his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and his master’s degree from The George Washington University. He resides in Michigan with his two Bernedoodles, Millie and Martha, and frequently travels to Washington, D.C.Top of FormBottom of Form
