NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani Forced to Return Foreign Donations

Between December 2024 and September 2025, NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s campaign accepted at least 161 contributions from foreign sources totaling more than $12,000. Donors listed addresses in Dubai, Australia, Turkey, France, Canada, Germany, and other countries, many with no verifiable employment information. Despite clear warnings, the campaign failed to stop the flow of illegal foreign money, revealing a sustained pattern of disregard for election integrity laws. We filed two formal referrals: a letter to the U.S. Department of Justice’s Public Integrity Section and a referral to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Following our complaint and resulting scrutiny, the Mamdani campaign returned more than $9,000 in foreign donations. While this partial refund did not erase the violations, it demonstrated the power of public accountability and our ability to force corrective action through legal pressure. Former Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick Resigns in Disgrace After Defrauding Florida Taxpayers

The Coolidge Reagan Foundation filed an FEC complaint and a criminal referral to the Florida Attorney General against Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick for alleged fraud, embezzlement, and campaign finance violations. The FEC complaint detailed how Cherfilus-McCormick’s campaign accepted more than $150,000 in illegal, unreported in-kind contributions from the nonprofit Truth & Justice, Inc. The funds were used to cover printing and mailing costs her campaign could not afford, which is prohibited under federal law. The criminal referral outlined how Cherfilus-McCormick, as CEO of Trinity Healthcare Services, exploited a state payment error to divert nearly $5 million in taxpayer funds for personal use, funneling much of it into her campaign through entities she controlled.  Together, these filings exposed a pattern of corruption, calling for Cherfilus-McCormick to be held accountable for defrauding Florida taxpayers and federal election law. On April 21, 2026 Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick of Florida resigned from Congress, minutes before the House Ethics Committee was set to vote on potential expulsion. SurveyMonkey Restores PragerU’s Account After NTC Grassroots Action

On December 18, 2024, conservative website PragerU announced they were locked out of their account by SurveyMonkey, cutting off access to years of data. To regain access, the popular polling platform demanded PragerU post a disclaimer: “SurveyMonkey is not associated with, nor does it endorse or sponsor this specific content or PragerU.” The content in question? A PragerU video shedding light on the growing number of “detransitioners” — individuals who regret undergoing sex-change treatment and embrace their biological sex. NTC moved quickly — within hours we launched a campaign, and soon after hundreds of messages were sent to SurveyMonkey CEO Eric Johnson and the company’s senior staff calling out their compelled speech ultimatum. 24 hours later, SurveyMonkey restored PragerU’s account access. NTC allows everyday Americans to speak up, and when you do, your voice is heard.       [Photo credit: Kate Ter Harr, 2.0 Generic, via Flickr (cropped)]

Tell Eventbrite: Stop Using the SPLC List to Discriminate

Should Focus on the Family, Turning Point USA, and PragerU be turned down from using popular event management software Eventbrite because a left-wing smear factory added them to a list?  That’s a very real possibility now that the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has added all three groups to the latest version of its hate map next to groups like the KKK. Eventbrite announced in 2017 that the SPLC’s hate map was one of its top resources for deciding who to deplatform.  That was bad then, but it’s even worse now. Focus on the Family, TPUSA, and PragerU are major Christian or conservative organizations. And their stances have not materially changed. What has changed is that the SPLC is no longer even pretending to be unbiased. If Eventbrite doesn’t want to discriminate against Christians and conservatives, it must disavow the SPLC and declare that non-hateful groups on the map are allowed to use its services. Please sign the petition calling on Everbrite to do the right thing!

Yeti Must Recognize Viewpoint Diversity

Don’t say “conservative” — at least where Yeti is involved. When the Clare Boothe Luce Center for Conservative Women (CBLCCW) in Virginia placed what they thought would be a simple order of promotional mugs from the cooler manufacturer, their order was denied. “Yeti is unable to customize products with text or logos that are licensed, copyrighted, profane, or political in nature,” Yeti said in an email. Troubling hypocrisy — especially since… This was a reorder — Yeti had fulfilled the same order in the past without any problem! CBLCCW received a message confirming that their order had been accepted before it was denied. There are instances of Yeti gladly accepting business from left-leaning “political” groups and organizations. Stop the hypocrisy! Send an email to Yeti CEO Matt Reintjes and senior executives telling them to change course, fill the order, and welcome viewpoint diversity among their customers!

NTC Grassroots Action Compels Resignation of Scientific American Editor

Academic journal Scientific American had a 175-year history of staying apolitical. That all ended when Laura Helmuth took the helm of the publication, upending almost two centuries of precedent by putting the magazine’s name behind the candidacy of Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election and Kamala Harris in 2024. So it shouldn’t surprise anyone that when Donald Trump became president-elect on November 5, 2024, Helmuth went off on a profane, unhinged rant against anyone who voted for the incoming 47th President of the United States. Then NTC stepped in. On November 12, NTC launched a campaign against the once-esteemed magazine, rallying hundreds of advocates across the country to send messages to Helmuth demanding her resignation. Within days, Helmuth announced she was departing Scientific American.

Thank UMich for Standing Up for Free Speech

When pro-Hamas activists at the University of Michigan tried to silence Israeli Doctor Nadav Davidovitch’s lecture, Dr. Belinda Needham, the school’s Chair of the Department of Epidemiology, refused to cave to the pressure. In the name of “health equity and justice,” students demanded Davidovitch be disinvited, saying his appearance would be tantamount to an endorsement of “deliberate genocidal actions.” Instead of giving in to the cancel-culture mob, Needham upheld the principles of free speech and academic freedom by ensuring the event went on as planned. At a time when viewpoint diversity is increasingly under attack at colleges and universities, it is crucial to recognize those who are willing to stand firm. When you sign the petition at right, NTC will add your name to a letter telling Dr. Belinda Needham “THANK YOU for staying true to the stated values of the University of Michigan and supporting freedom of speech!” The letter demanding Davidovitch’s lecture be canceled received more than 220 signatures — let’s dwarf that number with hundreds more names of Americans from coast-to-coast who stand in support of free speech and against cancel culture! NTC Twitter Campaign Goes 3-for-3

Update (01/14/23): The Mythinformed Milwaukee (@MythinformedMKE) account has been reinstated! Update (12/22/22): Nicole Solas (@Nicoletta0602) had her account reinstated! Update (11/21/22): James Lindsay (@ConceptualJames) had his account reinstated! “I’m grateful for the grassroots action mobilized by the New Tolerance Campaign supporting my reinstatement and others silenced by Twitter for speaking truth,” Lindsay said. “Elon Musk has shown he listens to the voice of ‘the people’ on Twitter, and NTC is making sure the people are heard.” The New Tolerance Campaign will be Boston this week at the Parents Unite conference — and we’re using the occasion to shine a spotlight on the voices silenced by Twitter for exposing the youth indoctrination taking place across the country. And not a moment too soon — just hours ago, incoming Twitter owner Elon Musk fired CEO Parag Agrawal in a massive shakeup that portends good things for freedom of speech, but this isn’t the time to make assumptions. The Parents Unite gathering will celebrate “Diversity of Thought in K – 12 Education,” but sadly there is increasingly less “diversity of thought” in education to celebrate. Parents are being elbowed ever-further to the margins for criticizing policies in the classroom, and individuals who pull the curtain back on groupthink pushed by educators and elites are finding themselves locked out of social media by Big Tech overlords. The New Tolerance Campaign is asking for your help to get three of the most prominent Twitter accounts in the movement reinstated: Nicole Solas (@Nicoletta0602) — Shut out of Twitter for a quote-tweet critical of drag queen classes for youth supported by Colorado state legislators. James Lindsay (@ConceptualJames) — Banned for criticizing “the sexualization of children” following a targeted campaign orchestrated by the far-left group Media Matters. Mythinformed Milwaukee (@MythinformedMKE) — Suspended after posting an exposé in which an LGBTQ Pride parade attendee declared support for “kink with kids.” The New Tolerance Campaign has won these battles before — but we need your grassroots support to do it again…and there has never been a better time than NOW!       [Lindsay photo credit: Gage Skidmore, CC BY-SA 2.0, via Wikimedia Commons (cropped w/graphic overlay)]

A $1,000,000 Wake-Up Call to “Queers for Palestine”

This isn’t a joke. It’s not a publicity stunt. Our offer is real. The New Tolerance Campaign has secured $1,000,000 to underwrite expenses for an LGBTQ Pride Parade in Gaza or the West Bank! For nearly a year, “Queers for Palestine” and allied groups have insisted that Hamas and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) are “inclusive” — here’s their chance to prove it. We started this campaign to contrast the lives of LGBTQ individuals in the Palestinian territories and Israel. It has evolved into a realization that achieving Palestinian recognition for LGBTQ rights could lead to true liberalization of the Arab world — and thus, eventually, peace. Right now, there is a clash of values between Israel and most of the Arab world. In Israel, gay people can live their lives openly, while the Arab world views them with disdain. Homosexuality is illegal in many Arab countries. The NTC $1,000,000 Gay Pride Parade Challenge holds the potential to awaken acceptance and greater tolerance in the Arab world. Starting Monday, September 16, mobile billboards will be circulating around Columbia University (116th Street and Broadway) in New York City, the headquarters of the Human Rights Campaign (1640 Rhode Island Ave NW) in Washington, DC, and UCLA (405 Hilgard Avenue) in Los Angeles advertising our offer and encouraging Queers for Palestine (or any LGBTQ organization) to accept our challenge. An LGBTQ Pride Parade in Gaza or the West Bank would empower grassroots LGBTQ movements within Arab countries and work toward improving human rights for all. Please join us in urging LGBTQ advocacy organizations in the United States to take up our Challenge, make an unforgettable statement, and advance the human rights they purport to uphold. Amicus Brief in Opposition to Free Speech Lawfare in New Hampshire

The Coolidge Reagan Foundation filed an amicus brief in League of Women Voters of New Hampshire v. Kramer, a case involving AI-generated “Biden” robocalls that urged voters to skip the state’s Democratic primary. Our brief defended a clear principle: the Voting Rights Act forbids intimidation, not political persuasion. We argued that Section 11(b) does not create a private right of action, meaning activist groups cannot weaponize it to silence political speech. Expanding it to cover misleading or controversial messages would turn protected speech into a federal crime. Free speech is the cornerstone of democracy—even if some may find it offensive or confusing. Efforts to stretch voting laws beyond their text threaten both the First Amendment and the integrity of legitimate election enforcement. [ AMICUS BRIEF ]

Sponsors Must Cut Ties with Radical LGBTQ Group Led by Lying Activist

Julie Mauck asked her local library in Athens, Georgia to move a sexually explicit book from the children’s section to the adult section. Now she’s fighting for her career. The Moms for Liberty member and real estate agent had barely made her case when a group of radical LGBTQ activists accused her of “discrimination,” Google-bombed her business with fake negative reviews, and told Mauck’s real estate broker that she referred “to LGBTQ+ individuals as pedophiles” or called “the entire LGBTQ community pedophiles.” Mauck did no such thing, and was officially cleared of the baseless accusations of discrimination by the Georgia Association of REALTORS®. Sadly, the damage had already been done. One of the people leading the defamatory mob was transgender activist and Athens Pride & Queer Collective president Danielle Carmella Bonanno. Bonanno is being held accountable in court by our allies at the Coalition for Liberty, which is funding Julie’s lawsuit against those who knowingly lied about her and filed a false ethics complaint with the Georgia Association of REALTORS®. But Athens Pride & Queer Collective continues to rake in financial support from businesses likely unaware that the organization they’re supporting is led by an unhinged activist determined to destroy a concerned parent’s life. Tell the businesses supporting Athens Pride & Queer Collective to condemn Bonanno and end their misplaced support for this extremist organization!

Stand Up for Religious Freedom & NFL Star Harrison Butker

NFL star Harrison Butker is in hot water — all because he delivered a commencement speech to a Catholic school in line with Catholic teachings. On May 11, the Kansas City Chiefs kicker addressed the graduating class at Benedictine College. His remarks criticized pro-abortion activists, called out what he felt was the shallow theology of some in Church leadership, and ribbed LGBTQ activists who celebrate the “deadly sin sort of Pride that has an entire month dedicated to it.” In other words, he underscored his commitment to Catholic doctrine and encouraged the religious school’s graduates to do the same. Now, the Super Bowl champion is being pilloried from all sides. The NFL was quick to distance itself from his words. Nonprofit organization Faith in America racked up over 10,000 signatures on a petition demanding he apologize. And more than 200,000 people added their names to a Change.org petition demanding Butker lose his job. Harrison Butker had every right to express his religious convictions in his private capacity to an audience in agreement with his values. The NFL cannot bend to pressure from activists to boot him from the league. Add your name to our petition: Tell the NFL and Kansas City Chiefs not to cave to the cancel-culture mob — Harrison Butker has nothing to apologize for!

2024 Victories, Amicus Briefs, Defending the Trump Administration

Amicus Brief in Support of President Trump in Overreaching Indictment

Our amicus brief in Trump v. United States urged the Supreme Court to affirm that a President cannot be criminally prosecuted for official acts performed while in office. The brief highlighted how the overreaching indictment in this case burdened the fundamental values underlying the First Amendment and infringed upon the President’s constitutionally protected right to engage in political speech. The President’s communications and actions related to the 2020 election were part of his official duties and political speech—both protected under Article II and the First Amendment. As a result, we urged the Court to apply the doctrine of constitutional avoidance by interpreting the criminal statutes narrowly to exclude the President’s official conduct, warning that failure to do so would chill future presidents from faithfully executing their duties and set a dangerous precedent for partisan prosecutions. We were pleased that in the end, the Supreme Court reached a 6-3 decision for Trump, stating that a former U.S. President has absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for actions within his conclusive and preclusive constitutional authority, at least presumptive immunity from prosecution for all his official acts, and no immunity for unofficial acts. Daughters of the American Revolution Must End Female Erasure

Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) can no longer be considered a “women’s group.” In this latest instance of female erasure, anyone who can show ancestry linked to the American Revolution and self-identifies as a woman is eligible for admission to the historic and venerable institution with an amended birth certificate. This action was taken under the pretense of preserving the group’s nonprofit status from discrimination lawsuits, but as a private membership organization DAR is already protected from such punitive actions. The surreptitious bylaws change occurred at the most recent DAR “Continental Congress” national meeting in 2023, and the backlash from DAR members across the country has continued ever since. Hundreds of DAR members have resigned and even more have let their memberships drop. Efforts to amend the bylaws to preserve DAR as a women’s organization at the upcoming Continental Congress were rejected by DAR board members. Unless DAR reverses course, members will be forced to share changing rooms, restrooms, and hotel rooms with biological males. Most members have had no say in this policy…until now. Use the form at right to tell Daughters of the American Revolution President General Pamela Edwards Rouse Wright and DAR senior leadership to end this calamitous policy! Then, please forward this message to fellow DAR members and former members encouraging them to do the same. This is the only means we have to register our opposition directly with DAR national leadership — let’s make our voices heard!
